Dr. Elyse Llamocca

Dr. Elyse Llamocca, PhD, MPH is an epidemiologist and youth mental health services researcher with a focus on suicide prevention. Her main research interests focus on the impact of health-related social needs and social determinants of health on suicide-related outcomes. She has a strong background in analysis of “big data,” including analysis of administrative claims and electronic health record data. Dr. Llamocca is currently a senior research scientist in Dr. Cynthia Fontanella’s lab at the Center for Suicide Prevention and Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She began working with Dr. Gui as a postdoctoral fellow in the NIMH-funded T32 postdoctoral fellowship program in mental health services research at Henry Ford Health and continues to collaborate with him now. Their work together so far has focused on investigating youth suicidality using data from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development study.
